Also known as Jul Aften. It is the day that is celebrated here. The word on the street is that my kids are lucky because they celebrate both Christmas Eve and Christmas day.
Reidar´s sister Pia and her family came for dinner that night. The food was good and the company was even better. It is always nice when we get together. It was hard for the kids to sit still at the table because they knew that julenisse would pay us a visit (Santa Claus).

Yes, julenisse surprised us with a visit. He was so tired from all his travels he came in for a sit down. Zoey was convinced that Santa was really her daddy. And when asked why she thought that...she said he smelled like Daddy...like beer! lol Yikes...lay off the sauce Daddy! ;)
We still have 2 children in the house that believe in Santa so we had to do the cookies and milk and hiding all the presents. But it is fun and worth it!

Interesting that Christmas day is not as big. As with many things, your children get the benefits of two cultures. They will be so well rounded. Thanks for sharing, it looks like a blessed evening.
